How does He do it?

So how does He do it? How does God rule over the universe? How does the Lord of hosts control all the armies of angels and archangels and saints and prophets and apostles and teachers, pastors and evangelists, elders and deacons, ushers and helpers? How does He do it? For sure He is God and He can do anything, but how does He choose to operate? And what does He rely on?

The answer is simple.

Our Lord is Holy! He is like no other, He is in a place reserved only for Him. No one can be even categorized in a place near Him. He is Holy because of His fatherly Love and that is the answer.

God uses His fatherly love to rule over the universe.

He redeems with His fatherly love.
He heals with His fatherly love.
He equips with His fatherly love.
He releases with His fatherly love.
He trusts in the love he poured upon you.

That's why He lets you go... and that is why He receives you back.
That's why He stays quiet when everything inside you yearns for payback.
That's why His love is unconditional. He loves you with no strings attached.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. ” (Is 55:10-11)

God trusts in His Word, in His Love, In His Son: Jesus Christ crucified on the Cross. He has made it extra-clear. His love is more than enough. His love is the way to eternity.

"when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him... the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry." (Lk 15:20-24)

God's abundant love is the only way he uses to rule over the universe. We, His children rejoice in this love and give thanks to Him who loves us and gave His only Son to die for us.

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever…
Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever;
And rescued us from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever;
Who gives food to all flesh, For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.” (Ps 136:1,23-26)

The Father's love created and maintains the universe, keeps the sun, moon and stars in their orbits. (Ps 136:5-9).

It is His love that keeps your life. It is His fatherly love that surrounds you everyday.

How do we respond?

Jesus healed ten lepers but only one responded by coming back to give thanks.

"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?" (Lk 17:15-18)

We Christians often forget to come back and give thanks to our Father. We are too busy with showing ourselves to "the priests" and going back to our ordinary lives. Do like the Samaritan and deny the world and give God the praise, because our Father is worthy. Not because He is mighty, not because He is wise and not because He has the authority... but because He is good and His love endures forever and ever and ever...

"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jer 31:3)

“… You shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” (Is 55:12-13)

May you be blessed today with all the blessings in the Father's perfect love.
