Draw Me

"Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up." (Exodus 3:1-2)

Have you ever walked a bit further than usual? Have you ever gone to the limit? As in unknowingly stretching the extent of things possible?

Have you ever walked in this life forgetting circumstances and as if being led by an inner drive to go beyond the routine of daily life? Not necessarily having planned it or thought it through, not even really being really aware of it, but as if daydreaming or sleepwalking, gone out of your way as if someone had called your name "Moses, Moses" or "Samuel, Samuel"? And it's as if you wake up to a new reality, a more genuine reality, a new calling and identity, the real you! And all of a sudden, you know what you are supposed to do. You know that the time has come to face your greatest fear, your greatest enemy. The time of your revealing and unleashing has come! That is what Christ did for us...

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

God had to stop Moses and wake him to the reality of the holiness he had stepped into unknowingly. God speaks with dreams, visions, and with chords of tender love, He draws us into our destiny.

It was only after that that Moses hid his face. In Christ, we are hidden in God. We start hiding our face when knowledge and reason kick in. I would like to encourage all to enter through that torn veil into the Holy place with open faces, before the throne of grace. To be led by the Spirit of God is to live a mesmerized life, to follow the wind and to go in and out of gates freely.

"Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee." (Song of Solomon 1:4)

God wants us to be both aware of our heavenly reality and at the same time mesmerized and drawn by Him. To have a sober mind and drunk off of His love. Only that way can we find the narrow way, the open gate, the tree of Life, the beautiful Jesus, calling us by our name. God bless you as you press in on this journey, into your most unique and special destiny in Christ.
