Faith for the Future

The prophet's drive is the seed for the reality of the future. The present will not accept it. In fact, it will sound outrageous to almost everyone. But those who do accept it will be the forerunners in the making of the future. They will be on the frontlines. They will sacrifice the most, but they will also have the greatest reward. It is impossible to please God without faith (Heb 11:6).

"He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:11-13)

God always speaks from a perspective that is beyond time and beyond the reality of the contemporary. He always speaks from greatness, from love, from righteousness, from justice, from abundance.

And fallen man usually receives and processes what he hears from a place of depravity, poverty, selfishness, insecurity, and lack.

That is why faith is so essential. And faith, my friends, is like a mustard seed. It grows! As we water it with the Word of God and prayer. It will grow to its full stature, as we have seen in the person Jesus Christ (Eph 4:13)

"Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4:23-24)

Prophets today speak from the new reality which is in Christ, their role is a creative one. It is to infuse the fallen world with the power of the new creation which is in Christ. That, my friends, is an act of faith from start to end. And faith does not put to shame those who trust in it and trust in Christ who is the author and perfector of our faith.

Therefore, just as we walk by faith and receive by faith and not by sight and destroy strongholds of minds and bring in captivity haughty spirits and demonically influenced behavior persistently, we will eventually step into the reality of what was and is and is to come: the Kingdom of God! Because even in the absence of tangible proof, we have full certainty that what we speak is the truth and will be manifested fully for all to see and touch and be blessed by it.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” And of His fullness, we have all received, and grace for grace." (John 1:14-16)
