Sacrifice

Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." (John 6:35)

The Lord Jesus pours his heart out in this verse. He reveals His divine nature in the midst of accusations, evil men, and persecutors. The Lord stands firm in His willingness to give Himself up for us.

On his way to the cross, the Lord Jesus makes Himself known to men as the bread that is to be broken and blood poured for the salvation of many. (Matthew 26, Mark 14)

Jesus' love is beyond measure and understanding (Eph 3:19). His love is unlike any other since it is not human love. His love pierces through all barriers because it is accompanied by ultimate humility and sacrifice. He came to give us strength and victory over all difficulties, even death. (Phil 2:8)

It is in front of this great love that we bow our knees and worship Him with all we have. We say "Yes!" to his call and approach His throne boldly to receive grace (Heb 4:16), to receive healing and victory over death.

All creation will give glory to your name... because of who You are and what You've done...

"...Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:5-11)
