Jesus wants MORE!

"Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged him to place his hand on the man. After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be opened!"). At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly. Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. People were overwhelmed with amazement. "He has done everything well," they said. "He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."" (Mk 7:31-37)

People approach with little expectation.
Jesus has great desire.
People expect an everyday laying of hands.
Jesus is on fire for intimacy and contact.
People were not really expecting a miracle.
Jesus was serious about healing.
People weren't too personal about it.
Jesus wants to get VERY personal and involved.
People were begging.
Jesus was ready to release orders against the illness.
People think it's for their sake that Jesus will lay hands.
Jesus took the deaf and mute away from the crowd to have a personal encounter with him.
The crowd's focus was on Jesus as a prophet/man.
Jesus looked up to Heaven to give God the glory.

Not only when healing but in all situations, the Lord's attitude is the same. When it comes to redeeming us, He has made up His mind to get very intimate and personal with us. He is not disgusted, not bound by habits or tradition, not after fame and praise, not seeking His own glory...

Draw near to Him! He wants to have a personal encounter with you!
How near? And how personal? you ask?
As personal as carrying our sins and diseases on his body so we can be free!

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." (1 Pet 2:24)
