Guard your Heart

Guard your heart because there you have accepted Christ.

A Guard is someone who doesn't allow an intruder to enter. A guard keeps watch. A guard is always alert. A guard never leaves his location.

It is in your heart that a new life has begun. It is there that God feeds your soul.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." (Pr 4:23).

Guard your heart. Without it, you are dead.

Guard your heart because if you lose it, Life has left you and death rules over you instead.

"Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them." (Deut 4:9).

Many are careful not to hurt anyone but never cautious to not get hurt themselves. Guard your heart because if you are hurt you cannot echo God's Word out into this world and beyond. You are created for Life. Guard it well with all your might. You might have to fight. You may even lose your life. Only to gain it back again. It's called to resurrect and get resurrected.

Some think whatever their heart says and whatever it longs for must be from God and must be right. Your heart will deceive you. Guard it well! Hold it down! keep it refrained! It can lead you to Hell!

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve." (Jer 17:9-10).

If only I knew then, what I know now. If only I used my zeal with the wisdom and knowledge I have now...

It's never too late for my God is great and with the little I have now, I will feed many like Jesus did, like the 5000 He fed with just 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.

The Word of God is Heaven-sent. In your heart, it finds its nest. Guard your heart! Give it your best!
