Like a Lily among Thorns

In the busy lives we lead, our souls long for a deep and unique encounter with God. In His Word, God describes Christ's presence in the world prophetically as such: "I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women." (Song 2:1-2).

In the humblest of appearances and as a unique flower is Christ in this fallen world. As if time needs to be frozen, for us to notice Him, to feel His love and enjoy His splendor. He is right there "in the valley", among the thorns of this world. Beautiful is our Savior and beautiful is His Church in this world.
