Spiritual Gifts & Offices

We can not fool ourselves and we can not live in denial. As the apostle Paul puts it, we cannot be ignorant concerning spiritual gifts and spiritual offices in the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:1). The gifts are listed, so are the offices. The Holy Spirit urges us to pursue them (1 Cor14:1), stir them up (2 Tim 1:6), use them (Rom 12:6), and find our being and maturity in Christ in them (Eph 4:11-13).

"Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues [...] earnestly desire the best gifts." (1 Cor 12:27,28,31)
