Not just miracles, but unusual miracles followed persecution and 2 years of extensive teachings of Paul in the school of Tyrannus (Acts 19:8-10). Do not undermine the power behind preaching and teaching of God's Word. An entire continent embraced the impact of the Heavenly Kingdom through the teaching of one man of God.

"Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them." (Acts 19:11-12)
