Prophet's Reward

Elisha was a man after the next thing that God was about to do in the future. He wanted to be a part of it. He wanted his share in it. He understood that he had to die to his own agenda, in order to get it. He was ready to die for it. He knew that to live is Christ and to die is gain (Phil 1:21). He knew that to ask for the double portion was his right as a servant of a prophet. He was worthy of his own reward and that of the prophet... and he got it! (2 Kings 2)

"Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward" (Matthew 10:41)
