Gods of All Religions

All religions worship a god for what he/she's done or can do. Even when they attribute virtues to their god, these virtues are not justified by the image or identity given to him.
For example, when a certain religion says "God is love" and rejects the Trinity, they have attributed a virtue to a lonely or all powerful "dictator" god who needs to create in order to love, but in and by himself is unable to love as there is no other person to love but him.
Or when one says that God is just or respectful or is a god of equality or diversity or even order and discipline. How can that be? How can such a god sustain himself? apart from creation. This makes that god DEPENDENT on his creation and therefore it immediately disqualifies him as god...
Now regarding those pagan religions who claim that there are more than one god and that they wage war against each other or are involved in a soap opera type of lifestyle, I wouldn't even want to imagine the psychological and mental strains that birth such ideologies.
In short, a fallen creation can never apprehend or come in contact with its Creator, unless the Creator desires to redeem the fallen and reveal Himself.
If you are not of a Christian background, it may seem hard for you to see the difference between the belief in the God of the Trinity and Paganism. This may be due to lack of knowledge or indoctrination of hate or dismissal of the Trinity as 3 gods and not one true God.
Nominal Christians usually dismiss the whole issue and the religious among them avoid these questions, being indoctrinated by religious practices and not even considering to allow God or the knowledge of Him any room in the very central part of their lives.
You may be a Christian and you may be saved, but have repeatedly avoided dealing with the truth that our God is 3 persons, 1 Godhead. I encourage you to read the Bible in the context of the Trinity and receive revelation regarding who God is, apart from His creation or salvation, although His identity is revealed to us through those 2 acts, as we are His creations. However, He has given us the ability to know Him for who He is, as He has woven us into the fabric of His very being in the Son.
Throughout Christian history the most central and fundamental part of our faith that has either made giants of faith or heretical failures is the understanding and application of the very being of God to our relationship with Him and others. Those who have rejected the Trinity have fallen. Those who have missed to dig deep, discover and apply the truth about the Trinity have had partial success.
You don't need to understand the Trinity to be saved or enter Heaven. But if you do understand it, you will not resist the call to enter His deep and mysterious riches. The truth about who the God of Trinity is will attract the least among us and turn him/her into the greatest.
Before He started His ministry, Jesus first got baptized by John the baptist, who was refusing to baptize him, stating that he couldn't baptize one who is greater than he. But Jesus proposed the "equality despite the greatness type of way", or as He put it: the righteous way. THAT unlocked the mystery of the Trinity and ALL who were present heard the FATHER declaring about His beloved SON and saw the SPIRIT descending on Him, in the form of a dove.
The Son who is equal to the Father obeyed the Father because He loved Him. The Father who is equal to the Son, begets Him eternally because He loves Him. The Spirit surrenders to the Father and the Son although He is equal to the Father and the Son. The love, respect, equality and unity in the Trinity, DESPITE there being 3 persons, make our God ONE God to be worshiped for who He is, before and apart from being worshiped for what He's done. And that is what makes all the difference in the world. God bless you as you embark on a journey into the mysteries of God!
