Praise & Hearing

"After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, “Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Canaanites?” The Lord answered, “Judah shall go up; I have given the land into their hands.”" (Judges 1:1-2)

Judah means praise. When you lead a life of praise and let praise precede your steps, your enemies fall and you inherit your promise.

"The men of Judah then said to the Simeonites their fellow Israelites, “Come up with us into the territory allotted to us, to fight against the Canaanites. We in turn will go with you into yours.” So the Simeonites went with them." (Judges 1:3)

Judah means praise. Simeon means hearing. God hears your praise! Praise (Judah) takes/ draws God's hearing (Simeon) with him into battle and goes to fight God's battles. God's hearing will always be where praise goes.

Therefore, Praise (Judah) and Hearing (Simeon) go hand in hand in battle and conquest. Real praise leads to hearing, and when God hears praise victory and joy appear on the horizon. That is why after saying that PRAISE will forever be on his lips, David says that the humble shall HEAR and rejoice. (Psalm 34)

The Lion from the tribe of Judah roared on the Cross and God heard His cry and raised him from the dead, thus conquering the greatest enemy of mankind: death!
