Thoughts on Leadership - pt.3

One man cannot beat the system. He/she can give it a mighty blow, but that's it. Now if 2 or 3 or more come in agreement, it can be a whole different story.

Mature and wise leaders know very well that making collaborations and partnerships is very important. If we want to take out the enemy, we need a strategy, team work, a master plan. We need to corner the enemy and to do so we need to be many and in full agreement with each other.

The enemy will always look for loopholes. we need to be constantly reminded why we are in this together.

God wants to deliver mankind and bring mankind to the promise. That is the desire of the Father's heart. In Christ, all of that work was accomplished. It took a mutual uninterrupted, equally involved commitment from all 3 persons of the Trinity to bring about this marvelous plan and victory.

The Son became man and by his death and resurrection, He united us with God and brought us in union with the Godhead. We now enjoy that union by the communion we have through the Holy Spirit. We cry out to the Father, being in the Son, through the fellowship we have with the Holy Spirit. We are now seated with God in the heavenly places. Likewise, leaders need to be the ones who bridge that gap for their followers. They need to be the ones who believe in them, live with them, live out a life of breakthrough with them and for them, and then equip them to do the same with others.

Christ did not only save us from destruction. He restored God's original intent: His image in us. We are not only saved, but we are made whole. We are not only free, but we represent the source of freedom. We are an extension of the Godhead, members of the body of Christ, perfectly united with Him. Our lives are hidden in Christ with God in the heavenly places. Now that is big!

So now we are no longer simple leaders by natural gifting. Now, we can lead from 'up there'. We are no longer alone. We are in union with the three persons of the Trinity and the entire humanity! Remember that God became man. Therefore, as long as the people we are dealing with are human beings, we enjoy a potentially supernatural union with them. It is not hard to lead them. It is hard to lead them if they do not accept this truth and keep living a lie; the lie of division and hierarchy.

Our God is a God of equality. It is in His very nature of 3 equally God persons, who do not complement each other, but share the divine glory with each other. The Son doesn't own one third of the glory. He has all the glory and shares it completely with the Father and the Spirit. Likewise, we leaders do not own a share of the glory but all of it! And we do not own it for or by ourselves. We trust it and give it completely to others we share this union with.

The life of a leader is the life of a family, a life of love, respect, joy and glory. It doesn't come cheap, but it is the most rewarding experience.
