God Revealed
Today we celebrate epiphany or the revelation of the Son of God. I can't stress enough the importance of this event in every human being's life and story. In this event, the mystery which was hidden for ages was finally revealed. God revealed himself in 3 persons through a live spectacle before all men, focusing all attention on the beloved Son in the person of Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God.
In other words, the hope of glory was revealed in human form. Therefore, for every human being was revealed:
1- God's true identity and nature
2- God's desire and plan for mankind
3- God embodied in a man, the everlasting Son in human nature, the chief architect, the Word of God, the Logos/Logic of God, the only and eternally begotten Son made flesh and commissioned to be the General of God for the sake of the salvation of mankind, by taking the lead to embrace the cross and defeat the greatest enemy of man: death itself!
Therefore, today we are reminded that:
1-God is for us and not against us.
2-God's intent always was and is to this day to bring every single human being in union with Him.
3-God accomplished this through the work of salvation. He is the alpha and omega, the author and the finisher of His faith/will/desire/intention. He is the savior of all men.
God's faith has been revealed as a grace, a gift to all mankind. Wrapped in human form, He offered His only begotten Son.
"When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”" (Luke 3:21-22)
