It’s Just a Phase

I get lost in memories of times past.
“Obsessed”: I can’t be.
Can’t afford to trip.
Can’t afford to slip back into “me”.

See I’ve been through phases and stages,
Levels in cages and faces of men,
Giants and gents, misses and disses.
It’s not my average day, when I cancel visits.

Somebody help me cope,
Remind me of my hope.
Up in the morning to resounding clocks.
Socks everywhere as I rush through the door
Hands in the air! Everyone on the floor!

Superman down the stairs,
Champion of affairs.
Back to tie, pants, suitcase.
One day, he’ll ace

But for now… It’s just a phase.
