Being Saved
Salvation is relational, more than it being legal or judicial.
The early church was all about the community, like the Trinity. It was in that context that men were being saved by the Lord. (Acts 2:42-47)
"God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should NOT PERISH but HAVE ETERNAL LIFE" (John 3:16)
I see relationship in that verse, more than judicial transaction. I pray that this truth liberates all who read this.
God loves us and invites us to His own communal eternal life. THAT is being truly saved. Being just forgiven and set "free" (i.e. set loose) is not a good picture of being saved or even being loved for that matter...
