Witnesses of His Resurrection
If Jesus was a good example, then we're doomed.
If Jesus was a substitute, then we're saved!
If salvation is outward, then it is of no effect.
If salvation is inward, then it will transform!
Meditating on Christ destroying the power of death in His body opens up a whole universe of wonders to explore.
Athanasius says: "For the solidarity of mankind is such that, by virtue of the Word's indwelling in a single human body, the corruption which goes with death has lost its power over all." (On the Incarnation).
This changes everything in our lives; from the way we perceive God to the way we perceive others. It makes us realize the freedom we have to live out Christ's victory. He is risen and we are the witnesses of His resurrection!
