4 Christian Misconceptions Debunked

1. Seeking the heavenly things is not seeking Christian cliche things.
2. Obeying the commandments of Jesus is not obeying the literal interpretation of the scriptures.

1. Seeking Heavenly things is living in the mysteries of God, from our identity in Christ, who is in heaven now.
2. Obeying the commandments of Jesus is hearing His voice and doing His work on earth WITH Him, in a way that is unique to each and every one according to the grace given to each.
3. The Gospel is the good news that God became man / redeemed man / loved man / God with us / Emanuel (Note that the angels preached the Gospel to shepherds before any New Testament scripture was written. See Luke 2:10)
4. Eternal Life is the very life OF God, the life of the Father, Son and Spirit, which is given to men by the incarnation of the Son, the defeat of death on the cross, the resurrection and ascension in a resurrected body for the sake of all humanity, the life in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, according to the good will of the Father.
