The Spirit Within

"The Spirit that is in you is greater than the spirit that is in the world" (1 John 4:4) is more than just encouragement. It is a reality of how it feels to be on fire for God. It describes the very reality of the burning bush, the fire within, the force in the gut of the sent out ones. When you read the stories of the martyrs, you will notice a very powerful fire and testimony, a fearless spirit testifying the resurrection of Christ, with unusual power and manifestations.

That is the reality of the Spirit of God within us. Yes, the Spirit gives rest, and Yes, the Spirit gives peace, love and acts out in kindness. But the Spirit also is more bold and fearless than a lion (Pr 28:1).

This world is fading away and the pleasures of this world will pass like grass. Those refined by fire will remain to glorify God. That is why we seek first the Kingdom. We seek the treasure that can be stacked up in heaven. We seek the nonperishable treasures. We yearn to put on the incorruptible. We yearn to seek and save the lost. Our goal is to bring gold into the storehouse of God. Our goal is to bring precious souls into the body of the living God.

The Spirit that is in us cries out Abba! The Spirit that is in us breaks all fear. The Spirit that is in us manifests the glory of the One who is in the bosom of the Father. There's no fear in Christ, my brothers and sisters. There's boldness and strength to move age old mountains! Have a powerful week!
