Hands of Love

Because He loved us, He shed His blood,
Resting in glory before the start.
Molded with His hands, blew breath of Life.
In His likeness, we became alive.

He loved us. He walked as one of us.
His voice was heard from the stars above,
From a fishing boat, calling us out
To walk with Him in the darkest night.

He silenced the sea for men to see.
Some kept silent, hung Him on a tree,
Killed their own Maker, not a stranger,
Born in a manger, in all danger.

Not just a station, but stagnation:
Nails in His hands, for our salvation.
He rose from the dead, beat damnation.
Crown on His head purchased all nations.

Appeared to many, showing His hands,
The very same ones made us from sand,
Sending us out to boldly proclaim
Sacrificial love that overcame!
