Christ: Our Foundation

Our journey on earth is so versatile through the many different years and stages of life that it brings us to the realization that we can't even rely on our current life experiences, but only on Christ, who is the same: yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

This makes us realize how much of Christ we need to have in our lives and how much of our lives need to be deeply rooted in Christ.

We cannot stress enough the importance of Christ in our lives. If we dive into it, we will find an endless world of wealth, and come to the realization that Paul came to when he said: "In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form" (Colossians 2:9)

If we look deep enough and if we meditate on the Word long enough, we will come to the realization that Father, Son and Spirit decided to make His dwelling among men and chose the body of Christ as the temple to dwell in, where he has included all of humanity and united it eternally to Himself.

"God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:19)

Everything seen and unseen, everything in the beginning, the end and everything in between has its focal point in Christ, where God and man are united by nature for ever.

That is how important it is to have Christ as our foundation, our unshakable rock of salvation, of wholeness and perfection.

David in his psalms sings:

"As for man, his days are like grass;
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and its place knows it no more.
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments.
The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,
and his kingdom rules over all." (Psalm 103:15-19)
