Ask for the Nations

"Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession." (Psalm 2:8)

This prophecy concerns Christ and the Church. When in prayer two days ago, the Lord showed me that this is what every believer needs to be focused on. Our vision is not limited to people, communities or a city. We should always keep our vision as big as His. He has given us the nations (which include cities, communities, and families...).

In the great commission, the Lord explicitly sends the Church to the nations (Matthew 28:19). We are to be prophetically positioned to speak life into the nations, not siding with one against the other, but standing in the middle like Jesus did on the cross, in order to bring the Kingdom of God.

Jesus said: "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. " (Matthew 24:6-7)

Jesus made it known to us from the beginning that in the matter of wars and nations rising against nations, we are to take a firm stand in the faith and in our calling of peacemakers, not of a peace that is of this world but the peace which He gives (John 14:27)

"My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world." (John 18:36)

Whenever we read bad reports about nations we consider enemies, we tend to rejoice. That is not the Christian way. That is not spiritual. That is not worthy of a son of God. We are to love our enemies and bless them! (Matthew 5:44)

Jesus said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." (Matthew 5:9)

Sons of God are distinguished in this way: when they first do not take sides with one nation against another, when they represent the Kingdom of Heaven, and declare from their authority which comes from God, to bring the heavenly peace on the earth. Prophets stand in the gap and act as major role players in bringing forth tornados of change to the times we live in. We need to be speaking out, speaking forth, speaking into, and speaking from the Throne, where Christ is seated.

Sadly, many Christians have had this wrong. Sadly, many prophets have this wrong. The Lord showed me how many moves that He starts eventually end up being wasted in the flesh realm because of a lack of knowledge.

Sons, however, are not children. Peacemakers are not irritated warlords. The Kingdom of God requires mature sons carrying the glory of God on their shoulders and ushering the Prince of Peace into our current days.

I declare that times will change and kings will turn their ears to prophets, to hear the Word of the Lord, to have insight and wisdom into current-day situations.

Governments will seek after prophets of God. Scientists will seek spiritual insight. Educators will enquire the Lord for the molding and shaping of hearts and minds of generations. Things will change. We will be held responsible for it. May Your Kingdom come and your will be done Lord, on earth as it is in Heaven!
