The Times and the Seasons
“You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?” (Luke 12:56)
Not being able to discern the present time and season, made an entire nation kill their God, who had come to save them.
What makes US think that WE have the luxury of not being in tune with the times and the seasons, when what is anticipated is the second coming of the same God, but this time to judge and not to save?
How deep can deception go to render man so indifferent?
How pitiful can we become without Him?
How badly do we need the Holy Spirit in our lives?
How much of Him are we yearning for? Just enough to get by? Or more than our understanding and expectations?
Are we capable to know how much is good enough?
Are we willing to let it all go and to ask for all of Him?
Because He HAS BEEN given without measure!
Again, do we really know the times and the season we are in?
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all. He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony. Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true. For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (John 3:31-36)
I pray that the eyes of our spirits be opened to see by the Holy Spirit. I pray that we seek and find what was not yet discovered: a deeper understanding, a deeper reality, a deeper connection with the Truth. I pray that we may discover the Son with all His glory, and see the Father in Him, by the Spirit. Because THAT is exactly what has been given to us! And THAT is exactly what we need, in order to live according to the times and the season we are in. God bless you!
