Authority of Sons pt.2

It is very important to distinguish between true and false authority. The world makes every effort to render you handicapped in using your God-given authority. Whether that be by provoking rebellion or intimidating you. True authority comes from sonship and is not influenced by outside forces.

The world will make every effort to irritate you to rebellion under the guise of an invitation to be a defender of injustice. The world wants to make you your own god. A true revolutionary respects authority, because he/she recognizes its source and understands very well the dynamics of authority.

Father-Son Relationship in the Holy Spirit is the true authority. Power in the midst of equality is the true authority. Obedience not out of obligation but true love and dedication is the true authority. Power that is entrusted in love and surrender is the true authority. rebellion is a false authority. It is demonic. A movement aimed to topple the powers that be, rooted in love and honor can be easily mistaken for rebellion.

While corrupt power will do everything to intimidate any movement that threatens its seat and agenda, the true revolutionaries are those who walk in obedience, respect power, and respect authority but are driven by their vision that comes from a noble relationship.

A controversial question that's often asked is whether Christians should carry arms to topple the leaders that rule over them, even if they're corrupt. The answer, in my opinion, is that it depends. What is the spirit behind the decision to carry arms and start a movement? Is it a movement driven by love or hate? Do you love your enemy? Do you walk in obedience to the heavenly call? Or are you driven by resentment, rebellion, and revenge?

The core of authority for a person is the fact that he/she is not alone. It is not a corrupt dictatorship. Otherwise, what difference will it make if one dictatorship is replaced by another? The core of authority is Trinity, power in surrender, love, trust, obedience, and honor. God the Father equal to God the Son equal to God the Spirit, Three in One. The Father entrusting all to the Son, the Son entrusting all to the Spirit. The God of the universe surrendering himself to our weak nature to condemn sin in this nature and defeat death by His resurrection, to redeem us back to our righteous status of sons in full authority, seated with Him on His throne in Heaven!
